Our Story
Mid-States Capital, our predecessor entity, was founded in 1995 by Joe Alam Sr. after a successful career as a CPA and turnaround specialist. Mid-States Capital’s services focused on debt placement solutions for middle-market businesses dealing with unique or difficult issues, including workouts, highly-leveraged transactions, and high-growth situations.
In 2015, Mid-States Advisors, Inc. was founded by Joseph P. Alam III, with an expanded service offering, including Debt Placement, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Fractional CFO Services. Mid-States Advisors continues to focus on the historically underserved “lower middle market”, which we define as businesses ranging from $5 Million to $100 Million of annual revenue.
